Ho Hum … Here We Go Again

While everyone sharpens up their pitch forks to come at me because the Dodgers lost game one of the NLCS, I laugh and spit in the faces of the morons who think I am worried. Just like last year against the Braves when we were down 3-1 and I told you all that there was no reason to worry, here we are again, new year, same attitude. The only time I will get nervous is if and when the Dodgers trail 3-0 in this series.

The Dodgers are far and away the better team even without the bat of Muncy and the left arm of Kershaw. The Dodgers need to focus on one thing and one thing only, leave game 5 in Los Angeles with a 3-2 series lead, head back to Atlanta and win either game 6 or 7. That’s the strategy, so, even if the Dodgers drop game 2 tonight they are fully capable of going back to the West Coast and win three in a row to send this back to Atlanta.

The reality of the situation is that the Dodgers will win tonight with Scherzer on the mound, ram it up their butts as Cody would say in game 3 in LA and Julio who has been virtually untouchable will win us game 4. Up 3-1, the Braves will prolly squeak out a game 5 victory against Cat Boy Tony and Scherzer will demoralize them in game 6.

For the first time in forever I watched a Dodgers playoff game last night with zero pressure, that was a game the Braves were supposed to win, a game they barely ended up winning. The Dodgers come off the most emotional playoff series in franchise history and throw a bullpen game at Atlanta and they muster up three runs, the Dodgers were playing a let down game. That won’t happen again, they will come out and dominate Ian Anderson tonight. Look, I am sure Ian is a great kid, he seems like it, he’s from the area I grew up in, a few years younger. The facts of the matter are that I have never lost to someone from Clifton Park, NY in my life so there is virtually zero chance he beats the Dodgers tonight, just like I said they wouldn’t beat us with him on the bump in game 7 last year. I sincerely hope the kid has a long and prosperous big league career but tonight you’re entering the thunderdome kid, you’re going to be wishing you were gobbling up some edible cookie dough bites at Country Drive In on your way to an evening showing of Halloween Kills at the Malta Drive In cause tonight is going to be rough.

Look, the Dodgers are a championship organization, 7x World Series Champs – I feel bad for my blogging and podcast partner M3 cause he roots for a loser organization who has shit down his throat his whole life, if the Mets were in this situation it’d be panic time, we aren’t there yet.

Final score in Game 2 of NLCS
Dodgers 19
Braves 2
