Sunday Scaries: We Need Money

Welcome to a Sunday edition of the gambler Sunday scaries, this has been a long time in the making since sports has been in full operations since early March. While we are all thankful to have sports back, Sunday’s are a bitter sweet reminder of racking your brain around 3:57 in the afternoon trying to figure out whether or not to roll with Phillip Rivers and if the Raiders and Cardinals can hit the over. It is time to climb out of the hole, after getting buried on a Saturday it is time to focus our attention on a full slate of hoop a doops and some puck on this beautiful Sunday afternoon, let’s roll.

At 2:00pm we have the Wizards vs Nets, let me be the first to tell you that the Nets have the worst roster in the entire NBA bubble and they might not win a game in the restart. If they do, the chance they have at a win is this afternoon against a hapless Wizards team. I have zero faith whatsoever in the Nets and at least the Wizards have Head Coach Scott Brooks, Bradley Beal will not be playing but I still have to go with the Wizards laying the 3.5

The 3:30 game is a good matchup between my favorite player of my lifetime Carmeloooooooo Anthony (Knicks PA announcer voice) and the Trail Blazers vs the Boston Celtics. Will Kemba see more minutes? If so, I like the Celtics, they are a complete team, play both sides of the ball and can score at will. This is a tough game but the Blazers are such a streaky team, can’t trust them in these games against top tier NBA teams. Give me the C’s minus the 4

Spurs vs Grizzlies at 4:00pm, we gotta make some moves on this game, I don’t think wither team has enough scoring so I would hammer the under at 236 and if i had to pick a team here I would go with Memphis, they are a hard-nosed, young team and the Spurs are heavily reliant on reputation and the best current NBA Head Coach, they are way beyond their prime and I think the Grizzlies giving them 4 is worth a gamble

The ABC Nationally televised game is a phenomenal matchup at 8:30 between the Rockets and Bucks. This is a potential NBA Finals matchup in my opinion. I love the Bucks, they are far and away the best team in the Eastern Conference but I have an absolute crush on this Rockets team, Mike D’Antoni as Head Coach, Russ and The Beard are two of my favorite players in the league. The Lord hates a coward, give me the Rockets getting the bump at 4.5

The final NBA game on my radar is the Suns vs Mavs at 9:00pm, you have to be a real degenerate to find this game on television, don’t think a camera will be in attendance but if you can watch it or get updates, I am giving you SCORS SUNDAY SCARIES LOCK OF THE MILLENIUM…. The Dallas Mavericks will win this game by 18 points and easily cover the six point spread.

Moving over to the NHL, I will rattle these off because I have watched a total of 51 seconds of hockey this season:
Coyotes ML
Flyers ML
Over in Blues/Avalanche
Wild ML
Under in Blue Jackets/Maple Leafs

P.S. Are the Blue Jackets the most forgettable and irrelevant sports franchise of the four major sports? Food for thought as you enjoy your Sunday. Hear, hear to the ProcrastiNation!
