Quarantine Weight Loss Challenge: Two Weeks Complete

What’s up everybody, thanks for checking in. We are two weeks clear from our initial weigh in and I am down a total of eight pounds. We are documenting the progress on our instagram page so go check that out, but in the meantime, let me fill you in on some spoilers, dieting sucks.

Not being able to eat what and when I want has been an uphill battle for me but I will tell you, eating “clean” for two weeks has made me feel so much better. I have much more energy, I enjoy doing things and feel not as gross when I try to squeeze into a pair of jeans.

Look, if I can lose weight, anybody can do it, I figured I would let you in on some dieting tips because I do not subscribe to any “fad diet” or do anything outrageous, I also give myself one “cheat meal” on Saturday nights.

Breakfast:
I go with egg whites, tomatoes and a slice of wheat toast
or
Oatmeal with blueberries and raspberries

Morning Snack:
Grapes
or
Clementine

Lunch:
Salad
or
Turkey, lettuce, pickles and tomato on a 90 calorie wrap with a tbsp of mayo
or
Tuna, lettuce, pickles and tomato on a 90 calorie wrap with a tbsp of mayo

Afternoon Snacks:
Veggie Straws
or
Peanuts

Dinner:
Meat/Fish, veggie, starch
or
Chipotle Chicken Bowl

Late Night Snacks:
Gluten Free Pretzels
or
Greek Yogurt w/ Fruit
or
Skinny Pop Popcorn

I have been trying to only drink water or seltzer, if I am going to have a drink with any type of calories then I go with coconut water or a sugar free red bull. Like I said, in the past when I would diet, I would not give myself a cheat meal and I would drive myself insane. Saturday night is now my cheat meal and it is glorious. This weekend I had Chicken Marsala, Antipasto and Penne, just an absolutely fabulous meal. It keeps me sane and keeps me dieting throughout the week. I think a large part of dieting is psychological and being able to have what I consider a good meal is the light at the end of food tunnel every week.

Now onto exercising, I need a better routine with the exercise, I have been trying to walk as much as possible but I need to step it up and start running. Problem is that I have zero endurance and just an awful runner in general, so the exercise needs to improve, if you have any tips, let me know.

We got eleven pounds to go to reach my goal weight so I will keep pushing and eventually get there. If a test or competition is put to me, I will do it until I am victorious! Hear, hear to the ProcrastiNation!
