The Corner Booth Episode 5: Rob Manfred is Bad, NBA Midseason, and Tom Brady

Scors and I are back covering the biggest news of the sports week!

Following last week’s MLB preview show, we took a few more shots at Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred, who continues to embarrass himself and the great sport of baseball each and every time he approaches a microphone. First we cover the new playoff changes which I laid out in my blog. They are bad. Scors wrote about how bad he is at his job and somehow he added more to this list between the article being published and this podcast.

Following NBA All-Star weekend, Scors and I discuss our halfway point champions and best storylines of the second half of the season. Will the Sixers split Embiid and Simmons? How about those Utah Jazz and the Denver Nuggets?

Finally, we finish discussing the biggest free agent of the 2020 class, Tom Brady. Will Brady go home to New England or will he seek out the two-year sixty million dollar contract offered by the new Las Vegas Raiders? Will we see a dark horse candidate emerge for the quarterback’s services?

All that and more in The Corner Booth. If you don’t want to leave this window open for 44 minutes, listen to us on Spotify.
